Ashwagandha, one of the most powerful herbs in Ayurvedic healing, has been used since ancient times for a wide variety of conditions, and is most well-known for its restorative benefits. In Sanskrit Ashwagandha means “the smell of a horse,” indicating that the herb imparts the vigor and strength of a stallion, and has traditionally been prescribed to help people strengthen their immune system after an illness and install vigour.

Ashwagandha is used to tone, support, and revitalize bodily functions. It has been revered over time for its paradoxical dual capacity to energize and calm at the same time. Stress can cause fatigue, often manifesting as “hyper” signs like agitation and difficulty sleeping. By providing a nourishing, energizing effect, you can support a healthy nervous system. When the stress doesn’t impact the nervous system as strongly, the “hyper” signs will naturally resolve over time, allowing for a calming effect. This quality of Ashwagandha makes it an ally to use in the toning and rejuvenation process. In addition to its dual energizing/calming effect, Ashwagandha offers a number of benefits:
Supports a healthy immune system
Calms mental processes
Fosters healthy sleep patterns
Benefits a healthy reproductive system in both males and females
Sustains energy levels, strength, and vitality, including with physical activity
Supports healthy back and joints
Improves learning, memory, and reaction time
Reduces anxiety and depression without causing drowsiness
Helps reduce brain-cell degeneration
Offers anti-inflammatory benefits
Enhances sexual potency for both men and women
In Ayurveda, there are specific herbs with adaptogenic benefits, Ashwagandha is one of them. Adaptogens are substances (a combination of amino acids, vitamins, and herbs) that modulate your response to stress or a changing environment. Adaptogens help the body cope with external stresses such as toxins in the environment and internal stresses such as anxiety and insomnia.
I have prepared this Spagyric Tincture using organic Ashwagandha from a reliable source.
It contains the purified mineral salts of Ashwagandha which makes it a very potent remedy, much more than supplements which lacks the body of the plant- the salt principle.

In India pregnant women use it but in the West it is adviced not to use while pregnant.

I was calcinating Ashwagandha at the moment of full moon in Taurus , at sunrise. This is the first step in creating the mineral salt from the ashwagandha that has been macerating in alchohol for 40 days. Calcinating through fire and purified through water. Ashwagandha is a solar herb, lightening the inner sun.
It is one of my favorite herbs and I have seen it´s benefits in “burned-out” people. It works fast and it is truly a powerful and magical herb.

I also make a formula “Light in the Dark” that is good for “winterdepression” . Here I use Szechuan pepper as a driver and St Johns Wort and Skullcap in combination with Ashwagandha as a powerful combination. A merging of Chinese, Indian and Western herbalism.
